Is window tint legal in Georgia?
Yes it is legal to tint your car's windows in the state of Georgia. Georgia's O.C.G.A. § 40-8-73.1 statute says your vehicle's window tint cannot be darker than 32% on the side and rear windows of passenger vehicles with a plus or minus of 3%. For multi-purpose vehicles like SUVs, trucks or minivans you are only regulated to the front two doors to be 32%. Is it legal to tint my windshield?
When it comes to windshield tint you are only allowed to tint the top 6" of the windshield.
